SELFLESSLY
You might not think what you did was big. But to me it was a gift.
To you it’s a simple gesture. But it had the power to uplift.
And for that I’m always going to be so endlessly grateful.
You created something beautiful out of something hateful.
To me it changed my outlook. My mood for that whole day.
There’s so much power in one’s words. In what they want to say.
So you might think it’s nothing. Just a normal day for you.
But to me you stopped the pain, that was already slicing through.
You reminded me of who I am and what I’m really worth.
What you did for me today. Well you’re a blessing on this earth.
And maybe you will never know, what you now mean to me.
Where others tried to tear me down. You healed me selflessly.
