Words That Help You Heal

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

How do you feel about cold weather? (Poetry Prompt)

They say that birds of a feather, flock together.

Well this old bird likes colder weather!

I’d rather be cold than covered in sweat.

Beads running down my face. My clothes sopping wet.

There is nothing worse than feeling hot.

Nope. Not even one single thought!

So I’ll take the cold weather, any old day!

And I’ll move back to Illinois come next May!

    1. Ha! It’s already in the 90’s here in Mississippi and I am sooo over it already! Lol And thanks for enjoying my writing… I always love hearing from you! ♥️

  2. Wait, you are leaving me?! Illinois?! I’m southern born and bred, prefer the heat. I van handle the cold, just prefer not too. 😂

    1. Nooo… I’m staying in Mississippi for the foreseeable future. Lol I was just rhyming. Haha Although I would love to move back to Illinois… that would be a dream come true. And if I have to continue living in the heat, then I wish I at least lived at the beach. 😂

  3. I like it cooler myself.

    1. Yay! Lol I knew that I couldn’t be alone with this. Ha

      1. Give me a sunny 60 degree day anytime.
