Words That Help You Heal

EMPATH

The current image has no alternative text. The file name is: an-female-empath-with-light-shining-from-them-reaching-a-2.png
I'm an Empath.
And you are a stranger.

I'm drawn to you.
Even if I'm in danger.

Of falling.
Into your dark void.

I'm taking a chance.
Of being destroyed.

By helping.
In any way that I can.

A child, a woman.
Or even a man.

You are falling.
And I'm lifting you out.

Of your bottomless pit.
I'm hearing you shout.

And I'm calling.
My voice, do you hear?

Grab hold of my hand.
There is nothing to fear.

I have got you.
And I will never let go.

I speak from the heart.
And this you should know.

I'm an Empath.
And now I'm your friend.

Together we will bring.
Your pain to an end.

  1. I needed this…sometimes people who give themselves need to be cared for, too, because caring for others emotionally can be draining and retreating into ones-self is safe but hidden and lonely.

    1. I agree. And it’s hard to keep your mental barriers in place all the time. I am personally very bad about self isolating myself. I just sometimes can’t handle the weight of other peoples pain and emotions. That being said, if you ever need a shoulder to lean on I am more than happy to offer mine up. Also in case you are interested, I will be publishing two more in the next couple of days called Empathy and An Empath’s Journey. Thank you for reaching out… I appreciate you ❤️
